S04 · Oversold rebound sleeves

Looks for short-term oversold readings inside a longer uptrend.

The idea

How it works

Looks for short-term oversold readings inside a longer uptrend.

Why it might work

Sharp pullbacks in an established trend may rebound.

When it invests

Enter up to 49.5% in a fund when its two-day RSI is low and its 50-day average remains above the 200-day average.

When it exits

Exit after a high RSI reading, a break below the 200-day average, or ten holding sessions.

What can go wrong

  • Historical signals can reverse before a delayed order fills.
  • Sector concentration and trend reversals can cause substantial losses.
